Randwick Race 1 #1 Good ProjectFeatured image

That was a nail biter. Was to be ridden more forward today. Jumped slowly settled second last. Bowman stoked it up around the turn and lifted across the line to win. A great ride by Bowman. No mention in Stewards Reports. + 4.8 Units Profit.

Randwick Race 6 #7 – Mardi – strange tactics. in the heat took off like scalded cats, and then jammed on the brakes. Nisroc was overacing so Parr booted her around them and just kept going. Mardi tried, but the horse had bolted. This was backed into silly odds, and I believe the horse was backed because of the trainer’s reputation rather than ability. Another one of Gai’s odds on pops goes down. – 1 Unit loss.

Ascot Race 5 #1 – Longma – on a very hot day in Perth burnt up a lot of petrol to get to the lead, looked to have them beat but ran into a brick wall 100m from home and Carry The Nation who conserved energy in the run swept past to win. – 1 Unit Loss

& #9 Kim Min (FB only) – this was suggested on FB to add some value to the dividend. He slotted in third and had the run of the race, but faded in the straight to finish 5th … a disappointing run. Possibly the heat. -1 Unit Loss

Selections today showed a 1.8 Unit Profit (or 2.8 if you only took the selection package). I was over cautious at Ascot and ruled out Military Ruler as a selection in Ascot Race 3, due to the Race being a Restricted Class. Military Ruler won paying $3.10 – I will log that as a mistake – I am allowed 4 in a year 🙂 That was #1

Punters Club returned a $54.90 Profit.

The Investor lost $9 on the day. Again he scored with a big win at Flemington, but lost at the other courses. He has taken the start of the year hard and is having a sabbatical until March, to try to regroup.

2015 YTD Results
Selections -2.5 Units Loss
Value Bets +1.1 Units Profit
Punters Club -$280.10 Loss
The Investor -$12.88
