I keep forgetting about these things.  Some of our members love them and got some good returns on Saturday from combining the selections into doubles and trebles, and all sorts of exotic combinations.

The Multis that I posted as a “Paper Trade” showed the following results, for a $20 Investment:

MR 6 – 10 Selections, First 4 paid $2,263.  Our potential share was 1.98%
– Result Won +$24.80
MR 8 – 13 Selections, First 4 paid $2,358.  Our potential share was 1.01%
– Result Won +$3.82
MR 9 – 13 Selections, First 4 paid $3,473.  Our potential share was 1.01%
– Result Won +$15.08

Outlay $60 Return $103.70 Profit $43.70

The other suggestion I made was to increase your Return but decrease your winning chances, ignore the selection for 3rd & 4th and only concentrate on the selections to Win (for 1,2,3,4) and for Second (2,3,4).

MR 6 – 7 Selections, First 4 paid $2,263.  Our potential share was 5.55%
– Result Lost $20
MR 8 – 7 Selections, First 4 paid $2,358.  Our potential share was 5.55%
– Result Won +$110.90
MR 9 – 7 Selections, First 4 paid $3,473.  Our potential share was 5.55%
– Result  Lost $20

Outlay $60 Return $110.90 Profit $70.90

I haven’t done the Trifectas, but I did notice while going through the figures that one of the 3 races won the Trifecta from only the Win Selections.  If you are interested you can delve into all the other possible combinations through the use of a multi calculator.

Caution … this is only a small sample.  It is up to you what you do with the information. You can try the figures with differing staking amount on a multi calculator, the link will be in the blog on our website
