No Selections today. I was looking at Rockhampton Race 5, and gave the odds on favourite and 2nd favourite write ups, that convinced me not to back them. Maybe I should have laid them LOL!!! The race was run pretty much according to the race map, except that only 3 horses fought for the lead, and James Is Blonde (the winner) took the lead away from the two favourites. The caller tried to make it sound that the odds on pop Dragon Hunter was making a race of it. But in reality, the leader had established that much of a lead, that the other two were not going to run him down. Despite not being mentioned in the last part of the race Eljay Atom finished 2nd, and Dragon Hunter finished 3rd.

The Lay Club

Bendigo Race 5 No. 2 Brown Coal

“His last start before going for a spell was at Bendigo, and after leading at a modest tempo, he weakened at the 250m and finished 5.5 lengths off the pace.” And so it was again. It was never really any threat to ever win the race. ROI 130%

The Lay Club is becoming more popular with our members. There have been 12 Lay Clubs of which 11 have won. I missed two days over Easter, where one club won and one lost, so the adjusted figures would represent 12 wins from 14 clubs (86%). I would work on the safe side and suggest a S/R of 80%. Regardless of tomorrow’s results, I will include the Lay Bets in our results from Monday. I will calculate LLR’s and Staking Percentages and advice Lay Bets with suggested Unit Investments, from Monday. If this gets too complicated then you can just invest the suggested units in the Punters Club.
Lay Club closes at 11:00 tomorrow.
