As happens in winter, we had a very quiet week, with only 2 Betting Days and 6 selections. We only achieved 1 winner “Dantga” at Grafton on 2 July. This was a 2.5 Unit bet and started the month off well for us. On Saturday it looked like a strong stable on paper, but 2 of our 4 selections finished second to longer priced horses. The Each Way selection lost a photo for 3rd place and finished 4th.
Not a good week, but due to the small number of bets, not a disaster either. With 1 winner from 6 selections our Strike Rate was 16.67%. The Place Strike Rate was 50%. There were 11.25 Units outlaid and 5.75 Units returned. A loss of 5.50 Units, which equates to an ROI of 49%.
Punters Club only bet on the two days also and therefore invested 2 Units for a return of 1.69 Units, for a loss of 0.31 Units. The ROI from the Punters Club was 84.74%. Although the Punters Club has failed to return profits for the last 4 weeks, the Club remains in profit over the 6 week period, that we have been running them on a daily basis. The cumulative profit is 2.25 Units.
Dantga was the Star Of The Week, booting home a 2.5 Units bet at $2.30 (TT+).
