No luck today, although I thought we were in for a good collect, when Easy Flyer took command when turning for home. Pulled up very quickly after the winning post, and suspect that it has been injured. Stewards reports not currently available.

For the week we invested in 20 Horses, for 4 Winners (20% S/R) and 8 Placegetters (40% S/R). A total of 25.70 Units were invested for a return of 23.08 units, which represented a loss of 2.62 Units (90% ROI or a loss of 10% on Turnover).

The selections for the week were drawn from :

The New Ratings – 5 Selections, 0 wins and 2 Places – recorded a loss of 6.25 Units

The Old Ratings – 15 Selections, 4 Wins and 8 Places – recorded a loss of 2.26 Units

When we had that horror run over winter, I went searching for a replacement set of ratings. The new ratings were affordable and at the start produced some great results. But over the last 2 months, the selections coming from those ratings are running mainly 2nd & 3rd. I was always of the belief that once the better class of horses started re-appearing, that the old ratings, that I have used for years, would start being profitable again. Past results have shown that, that was likely to occur in October. For the period 1 to 18 October 2015, they a profit of 2.02 Units .

I have tightened the algorithm on the New Ratings, and they will deliver less selections, but hopefully better ones. I remain confident that as we move into Summer, the Old Ratings will start delivering again.

GTO advise that they hope to fix the links to the Punters Clubs. For now just follow the links on the website. The Punters Club on Saturday returned a 20% Profit.

I think we are heading back into a similar trend that I achieved last November/December, where the graph was heading up at about a 45 degree angle.
